windsurfing, parasailing or jet skiing. A ten minute journey will take you to
Fuengirola where you will find an open air zoo. There is also a water park with
many slides and fun water based activities for the children. Heading into
Marbella itself, you can visit the Old Town area and take in the wonderful
architecture and opulent town buildings. Other activities you can enjoy include
go-karting, horse riding, tennis, badminton and squash. There is also the
Hippodrome where you can bet on some horse racing.

Mijas Costa has a few shops which will provide the holiday essentials that you
need for your stay. The Mijas Pueblo is renowned for its vast array of shops.
You will find many items to buy including clothes, shoes, jewellery, art,
pottery, leather goods, ceramics, electrical good and souvenirs. Marbella has La
Canada shopping centre which is a haven for shopaholics. You also have access to
Marbella’s Golden Mile which is lined with designer clothes shops and expensive
boutiques. Alternatively, Fuengirola has the Miramar shopping centre, so
shoppers are not stuck for indulgence.
Eating Out and Nightlife
Mijas Costa offers a range of cuisine to suit all tastes. Due to it reflecting
mainly the British way of life, you will find many English style pubs and
restaurants serving traditional British food. Spanish fare and Tapas is widely
available and can be washed down with a generous selection of wines and beers.
Indian, Italian and Mexican dishes also feature prominently in many of the cafés
and restaurants.
The resort is home to many nightclubs and discos for partygoers to enjoy. There
is much in the way of live entertainment, live music, karaoke and dancing to be
enjoyed. Marbella and
Puerto Banus offer a vibrant nightlife too, with many
establishments being open until the early hours of the next day.
