Watersports are also available including windsailing, diving and jet skiing. There are several golf courses in the immediate area for lovers of the game to enjoy. A brisk walk will have you starting a round at the La Cala or Naranjas courses. The ten minute trip to Fuengirola provides a host of activities to indulge in. There is a water park with adventurous slides and an open air zoo, home to many exotic creatures. Go karting, trampolining and horse riding are also available. The Miramar shopping centre has a multiplex cinema showing films in different languages. A bit further to the east of Fuengirola is Tivoli World theme park, which has over 30 rides that the children will love. Mijas itself offers a bullring with a small museum and many architecturally beautiful churches and buildings. The Virgin of the Rock Shrine is also worth a look.
Campo Mijas has a small shopping area which houses a supermarket and a chemist. Here you can buy holiday essentials and some souvenirs of your stay in Spain. Fuengirola has a myriad of shops that will make shopaholics giddy with excitement. Here you will find designer fashion houses and small boutiques. There is an abundance of shops where you can buy clothing, jewellery, perfume, watches, shoes, leather goods, electrical items, pottery and gifts. There is also the Miramar shopping centre which has everything you could need under one roof.
Eating Out and Nightlife
The El Coto area of Campo Mijas has a few restaurants, cafés and bars to drop into. They serve a host of Spanish dishes and a fine selection of international cuisine. All can be washed down with a great selection of Spanish wines and beers.
There are no nightclubs or discos in the urbanised area, but partygoers do not have to travel far to reach the bright lights and entertainment that can be found in Fuengirola.
